I just finished a "curtains" phase. This client bought 8 giant curtains that were too long so I shortened them. Thanks goodness I have an industrial sewing machine as well as my others. This took a strong machine and lots of room.

mini paper pattern draft of lady gaga outfit
After much doodling and thinking, I have a plan. The pattern will be a trapezoid of sorts. There will be a front extension on the right. If this is a go, I will do a muslin, fit my client, make a real pattern, cut it, fit it then finalize.
This little model is good for stuff like this.

Elton and GaGa updates
This is the Elton John Fabric. Holy cow! My client will slay it when he puts this on. Now I just have to make it. We had a great meeting last night and he had some good ideas about how to get the lettering on. I can't want to start on it.
These are some lunch time sketches of GaGa jacket. (very rough) Next step is to make a small one to fit on my little body form to figure out how it will work.

Another celebrity costume
While Elton's John's fabric is on it's way, guess who contacted me. Lady GaGa. "She" wants a cape dress of fabric like this. And in less than 3 weeks. Here we go!

The vest - a success!
Here is my client wearing the prototype of the vest at a conference in Boston. I am very happy it worked out and excited to make better versions!
