swim suit alteration

First off - sorry for the absence. I have been sewing and altering stuff like crazy. No time to post! Burt here is a swimsuit alteration I did.  It turns out the length between bust and hip in the suit was way longer on the suit than on my client so there was very revealing baggage. She wanted over two inches taken out in the middle without a seam showing. Done! Now when she goes to the beach no seam and unintended parts of her showing.

could not alter here  because it would show

had to pull it up here

Voila!

progress

Of course, I did not see that I needed bias tape so I will finish it tomorrow. This fabric is pretty but it is super, super ravelly and slippery. But I have a handle on it.

Something for me

I decided to make something for my favorite client, me.  I want to get it done so I can wear it to work Monday. And still get my other stuff done.

something simple

Sometimes simple stuff is a good break. Here is a knock off of a pillow cover from  client't old pillow case.  Quick and easy and saves her money!

Alterations before pictues

These are the "before"
1. A Bridesmaid dress that is way to "poofy" to wear out casually now. I am going to take the bodice in and reduce the "poof" so she can wear it casually.
2. A dress that is too bit in the bust. Rather than throw it out expensive alterations, I am going to make a bust dart thing.
3.  A nice nice jacket that is too big.  Again, why give it away. Keep it and make it fit better.
There will be after pictures before the weekend is over.

clown update

Some finishing on these pieces but close to done. Then I have to make a long sleeve shirt to make by Sunday.
