Custom pillow covers with custom piping

 These are made to match the slip covers for her couches I did last month.

Custom dress

 My client saw a dress on line and wanted something similiar to wear to an event.  She has had fitting issues in the past and knew she could not really buy something ready to wear that would work. So she hired me and this is what we ended up with. An even better version that is custom fit for her.

Repair - don't replace

 Rush repair for new client who needed holes (in critical places) in his underwear fixed.  All is well.

 Took back band in so it would stay on and look the same.

Altering a high end dress

  I need to make this Herve Leger dress into one that is custom for my client to wear to a wedding.  It was all one length and she wanted it hi-low.  I have it cut and will finish it after another. I also modified how the back straps close.  Somehow I need to get boning of sorts into the top of the bodice. I think I found a way.  

pillow repair and new zipper

 It looks like my client's dog went after the pillow and thereby killed the zipper. All fixed.

Shortening challenge

 My client needed 1.5" off this lace edged dress. We decided to make a tuck in a seam at the hip and it looks great.  

Dress request

 My client saw this dress online and wants one like it for a wedding in July. First step, find similar patter to modify (I found one that will work), second step is to find fabric (this looks close) then the third step is to get my clients approval and get going!

Repair - don't replace

 Another pair of jeans, saved from the trash bin.  Good for my client to get this done.

Addition to vintage dress

 My client loves vintage designer dresses. But lots of times they don't fit because she is busty. For this dress, we altered it by adding a ribbon as an insert to the bodice side seam.

Zipper replacement

 It is hard to find pants that fit right and a total pain when the zipper breaks. You cannot fix thing like this, you need to replace the zipper. It is especially hard when the zipper was installed decorative stitching. Here is a before and after for a cute pair of jeans I worked on for a client. You really can't tell that I took her old zipper out and put a new one in.

Summer shirt

I am officially believing that we will have a summer this year and that sewing for it will not be a jinx. So here is my first entry, a vintage style shirt in eyelet fabric.  It will be cute when it is done.
